Pedanandipadu Mandal has become a hub of education thanks to the untiring efforts of "The Pedanandipadu Educational Development Society," comprising several philanthropist farmers and educationalists. As part of this initiative, Nandi School was founded on 17-06-2011 under the able leadership of the legendary personality and pioneer in the field of education, Dr. Lavu Rathaiah Garu, the Secretary and Correspondent of our Educational Development Society. His dream was envisioned and supported by the untiring efforts of our beloved President, Sri Kalahasthi Satyanarayana Garu (Retd. A.S.P.), Treasurer, Sri Lavu Adiseshaiah Garu, Vice President, Sri Mandadi Chalapati Rao Garu, Joint Secretary, Sri Narra Bala Venkata Krishna Garu and Governing Body Member, Sri Narra Veeraiah Garu.
The insatiable efforts of the Pedanandipadu Educational Development Society to educate the children of the poor farming community with a low fee structure have yielded outstanding results since the inception of Nandi School in the year 2012. The slogan “Village to Global Village” integrates the students as well as the teaching faculty, including the principal, in reaching great goals. No distractions are present on the campus, and a walk through the Shantiniketan-like environment showcases the little buds and sophomores attending their curriculum in a peaceful state of work. The disciplined teaching fraternity demonstrates unparalleled competence in discharging their duties with love, affection, and dedication.
A well-managed school with a handful of skilled educationists results in shaping the lives of many hardworking, genius students. From lower middle-class and poor strata of life, many students from Nandi School have reached the pinnacle of success. A few examples showcase the greatness of Nandi School and its teaching efforts in shaping the minds of rural students. Mr. Sainadh Posani, a proud alumnus of Nandi School (2014), is working as a transport engineer in California, USA. Mr. Myla Venkata Siva from the 2017 batch is studying at Kalasalingam University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Miss Swathi Kamma from the 2013 batch completed her MBBS and is pursuing her postgraduate studies. Mr. Madamanchi Adithya from the 2014 batch is working as an infrastructure engineer in Trivandrum. Mr. Bharath Sai Nallamothu from the 2017 batch is pursuing his master's degree at East London University in London. Along with these, many students from Nandi School occupy higher positions in their lives. The dream of our school committee to move rural children to national and international levels is partly being fulfilled, and they continue to strive to make Nandi School a model institution in Andhra Pradesh. The results of 2023-2024 clearly showcase the teaching abilities of the faculty, the administrative skills of the school principal, and the minute-to-minute managing capacity in providing all necessities to the students by the managing committee as well.
Miss Y. Harika of 10th grade secured 592/600 in public exams, while K. Dilsha of the 10th grade secured 580/600 and M. Tejaswini secured 574/600. Among all the five mandals surrounding Pedanandipadu, Miss Y. Harika stood 1st with her outstanding performance in the 10th-grade final exams. 23 students secured marks above 500 out of 600. A consistent 100% result in the 10th standard for the past five years reflects the caliber and dedication of the principal, teachers, and students, driving Nandi School's progress towards great goals.
As per the academic curriculum, we conduct several programs along with extracurricular activities. Every year we commemorate the birth anniversaries of Dr. C.V. Raman and Srinivasa Ramanujan to inspire our students. We also celebrate Telugu Day, Hindi Day, and Sports Day to highlight their importance and to enhance students' communication skills. On a grand scale, we teach the significance of national festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day, and cultural festivals like Dussehra, Ramzan, Pongal, Diwali, Semi-Christmas, and Krishnashtami. The other important celebrations include Teachers' Day and Children's Day. Every year, we invite distinguished retired teachers to share their valuable advice and honour them with pride. On Maths Day and Science Day, students exhibit articles and experiments created by themselves. Additionally, students are trained in traditional dance forms like Kuchipudi, ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage. Quiz competitions, elocution, essay writing, and drawing contests are also regularly organized on campus.
The aspirations of the management committee, especially Dr. Lavu Rathaiah Garu (Secretary & Correspondent) and Sri Kalahasti Satyanarayana Garu (President), to lead Nandi School as one of the best schools in Guntur District are being fulfilled. Their dreams of providing quality education to rural students continue to thrive, and we hope that Nandi School will grow into an educational hub in the native village of Pedanandipadu.
